Why visit?
Keeps the inner wall off the great wall and off the 1917 palace.
Tayma's inner wall encloses Qariyat and al-Hamra, some hundred metres inside the great wall in the survey description. Height reaches about five metres in places at Qariyat, with decay. Figures are from field notices, not re-measured here.
It is not the whole outer wall, and not an Andalusi Alhambra. Tayma's layers: Haddaj, the walls, the late amirate house. This wall is older than Ibn Ruman.
