Al-Raji appears in the sira as a Hudhayl watering between Makkah and Madinah. In 4 AH / 625 a small party was betrayed there after Uhud. Some were killed at the water; others were taken to Makkah, where Khubayb ibn Adi crucifixion is narrated. The geography is split.
It is not a pitched battle. Pair it with Bir Maunah as treachery on the road. The exact well is not a surveyed monument; accuracy remains approximate near Usfan.
