Why visit?
Fixes a geographic range, and leaves Aja, Salma and Antarah spring in the tale-box.
Salma is a range south-east of Hail, paired with Aja in verse and Jahili lore. Circulating geography: some sixty kilometres, highest tops about 1430 m. Those are general figures, not this card survey.
The lovers Aja and Salma are oral and literary tradition. Antarah spring and like names run on places; they are not dated Jahili wells. Old al-Nai is a local layer beside the range.
The pin is the range area. Hail is not Salma, and Salma is not the tale.
