في طريق هجرته من مكة إلى المدينة مرّ النبي ﷺ وأبو بكر ودليلهما عبد الله بن أُريقط بموضع قُديد على الساحل، فنزلوا بخيمة أم معبد الخزاعية. تروي كتب السيرة معجزة الشاة العجفاء التي درّت لبناً غزيراً ببركة دعائه ﷺ، ووصف أم معبد له من أدقّ ما ورد في هيئته الشريفة. تمثّل قُديد محطة راسخة في ذاكرة درب الهجرة على الطريق الساحلي بين الحرمين.
