يقع الشويحطية شمال غرب سكاكا، وكشف عن أدوات حجرية من العصر الحجري القديم (الأشولي) تُعدّ من أقدم آثار الإنسان في الجزيرة العربية، تعود لمئات آلاف السنين. يمثّل الموقع أعمق طبقة زمنية في ذاكرة الجزيرة، حين كانت خضراء بالأنهار والبحيرات، وممرّاً لخروج الإنسان المبكّر من إفريقيا.
